MMM,
Today has been the start of the seasons snow fall. This morning (of course, just at commuting hour) the morning turned nasty -freezing ice pellets and snow and wind. Of course, I felt guilty all day that Hannah had no boots - she had to go in trainers. Mind, you my boots from last year (last 4 years I think!) have holes in them and leak and the zipper is broken in one of them so I had to wear two socks one foot to try and keep the boot on while walking. This does actually seem quite funny now I think of it.
I did get a lift from Tom whom I work with as I usually walk but there was no way of walking today. I had three boxes of fundraising Xmas items for the people at the office and they were so heavy I actually twisted my wrist carrying it.
By the time I got to work I was "wound up to high doh". Dreading the walk home tonight.
Knitting is going slowly - still working on finishing item for the Xmas Around the World Xmas Swap - have to get the stuff off next weekend to Sweden so this weekend will be the big push. Have given up on the Fingerless Mitts KAL - have two different mitts started but yet to complete their matching pair. I think I just stress too much.
I get thru' all the obstacles and over all the hurdles and just have to remember that.

Fingerless Mitts for Fall KAL
Hello Everyone,
Have finally managed to borrow a camera! although my photography skills are not that good. Both sets of fingerless mitts were made using yarn I bought at a bazaar for $2.00. The lighter yellow ones would be good for spring - I absolutely love the pattern. The green (although they look blueish) I adapted to be shorter - not so sure if I like them this way. The yarn is some sort of super soft wool (no labels).
Currently working on two other of my own designs. Fun stuff.Carolyn

It's Getting Better...!
Well, how quickly things can change.
Someone (Jim F.) came back from lunch and had bought me a big booster juice with echinea and other wonderful vitamins...then, someone (Bob D.) bought me a very large Kitkat from the Fund Raising Choc Box at main reception and then Mary the receptionist bought me a slice of cheese pizza as a present. What a lucky girl (or else they were all just sick of looking at my long face all morning) - and oh what a happy girl (now!)

Today is not so Great!
It's been a dismal rainy morning and I have had a throbbing headache which has not gone away even after 2 Tylenol and I have not heard from my Xmas Swap Partner, so am down (but not out!) today.
It will pick up (eventually!)

Today is Beautiful
Today is beautiful. The sun is shining. It is warm - 23 degrees. I had a great weekend. I managed to almost complete a pair of fingerless mitts for the KAL and I got my Christmas Around the World Knit Swap Partner. I actually found time to write something. Now how is that for being so lucky, lucky, lucky.

Christmas Around the World Knitters Swap (2)
Just posted the answers to the questionnaire.
Down to the wire - have had no time to get to this before now.
Been so busy at work and now that Hannah is back to school no time in the evenings for anything - the usual, homework, dinner, clean-up, prepare for next day and bed!
Still looking forward to taking part in this swap.
Chow for now
